What are Sweet Meats?
Sweet Meats are handmade plush objects that look like various cuts of meat. They are made out of super cuddly polar fleece, cotton quilting thread and poly fiberfill stuffing. All of the meats come in individual (toy) size and some also come in family (pillow) size.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard and Paypal. We’re sorry, but we currently cannot accept personal checks. For additional forms of payment, such as U.S.P.S. money orders, please e-mail us at info (at) sweet-meats.com.
How do you calculate shipping?
Shipping is calculated based on weight. We only charge what it costs to pack and ship. We do not make any money off of shipping.
We ship through UPS for all domestic shipments so that you can track your package. International shipments are sent via USPS Air Mail and are not automatically tracked. You must choose International Priority or Express for your international package to ship with tracking and insurance.
When can I expect my meat?
Most orders leave our warehouse within 2-3 business days. In general, domestic shipments usually arrive within the week and international orders usually arrive within 5-10 business days, but these are not guarantees. Sweet Meats is not responsible for shipping delays caused by UPS or the USPS and cannot refund late shipments. To minimize delays, make sure to choose a guaranteed shipping option, like USPS Express or UPS 3-Day Select, and order well in advance.
My Meat didn’t arrive/arrived damaged. What should I do? Will you replace it?
We will replace meats that are damaged in transit if the damaged meat (or a photo) is returned to our office within 3 days of receipt. Please e-mail info (at) sweet-meats.com or call 415-823-1211 for return shipping info. We will also replace meats that are lost due to an error of Sweet Meats or the shipper. We cannot replace meats that were shipped incorrectly due to customer error in entering a valid address. If paying with Paypal, be sure your Paypal shipping address matches the shipping address you entered at checkout.
Is Sweet Meats a "green" company?
In everything we do, we try to be an environmentally and socially responsible company. We believe it is important to produce high-quality goods that don’t harm people or the planet. Our plush toys and pillows are made in small batches using fair labor practices and 100% recycled fleece (including the dye). Our packing and shipping is handled by a local non-profit company that employs adults with disabilities. All of our packing materials are made using recycled and recyclable materials, and we re-use the boxes and bags in which they arrive. As a result, our products may not be as cheap as some other mass-produced plush toys, but they are also not as cheap as some other mass-produced plush toys.
Is my information secure?
Absolutely. The safety of your information is extremely important to us. All personal and payment data collected during checkout is transmitted using a high-quality Secure Socket Layer certificate. Paypal payments are processed through Paypal's secure site, and credit cards payments are processed using Authorize.net.
Do you wholesale?
Yes we do. We provide access to our wholesale site with proof of business (i.e. copy of business license, sellers' permit). Please e-mail us at info (at) sweet-meats.com for more information.
Do you sell on consignment?
No, we do not currently sell Sweet Meats on a consignment basis.
Do you gift wrap?
Yes! All Sweet Meats can come lovingly wrapped in butcher paper and sealed with a deli sticker. The deli sticker displays pertinent information about the meat, but does NOT display the price. Please send us an e-mail or include the message that your item is a gift in the “optional message” box at checkout.
