What are Sweet Meats?
Sweet Meats are handmade plush objects that look like various cuts of meat. They are made out of super cuddly polar fleece, cotton quilting thread and polyester fiberfill stuffing. All of the meats come in individual (toy) size and some also come in family (pillow) size.
How do I purchase meats? / Where are the "buy now" buttons?
A separate window with a choice of sizes and buy now buttons for each will open when you click on either the photo or the name of the product you wish to purchase. Make sure you have pop-up blockers turned off in order for this window to open.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept both Paypal and credit card payments online. All of our payments are currently processed through Paypal but you do NOT need to have a Paypal account to pay through them. We’re sorry, but we currently cannot accept personal checks. For additional forms of payment, such as U.S.P.S. money orders, please e-mail us at info (at) sweet-meats.com.
How do you calculate shipping?
Shipping is calculated based on weight. We only charge what it costs to pack and ship. We do not make any money off of shipping.
We ship through the United States Postal Service and use Delivery Confirmation for all domestic shipments so that you can track your package. Items weighing 13 ounces or less are sent First Class. Items weighing between 13 and 32 ounces are sent via Priority Mail. Most other packages are sent via Parcel Post. International shipments are sent via Air Mail.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship to most international destinations. However, due to the fact that all of our payment processing goes through Paypal, we can only currently accept payments from countries with which Paypal operates. For a full list of Paypal-authorized countries, please visit:

When can I expect my meat?
Because Sweet Meats are handmade to order you should estimate that your meat will ship within 5-10 business days, though this is not a guarantee. Most meats are constructed/packaged weekends and ship the following Monday or Tuesday. All domestic orders are sent with delivery confirmation so you can track your shipment. In general, domestic shipments usually arrive within the week and international orders usually arrive within 4-8 business days.
My Meat didn’t arrive/arrived damaged. What should I do? Will you replace it?
We will only replace INSURED meats that get lost or damaged in the mail. Though every meat is packaged for its protection and shipped with Delivery Confirmation this is NOT the same as insurance. For full insurance coverage, please choose the "Domestic (insured)" or "International (insured)" shipping option at checkout.
Do you wholesale?
Yes we do! We provide access to our merchant site with proof of business (i.e. copy of business license, tax return or utility bill with sensitive information blacked out). Please e-mail us at info (at) sweet-meats.com for more information.
Do you gift wrap?
All Sweet Meats come lovingly wrapped in butcher paper and sealed with a deli sticker. Each order also comes with a “Meat is Sweet” button. We do not gift-wrap beyond this. The deli sticker displays pertinent information about the meat, including price, so if you would like your meat wrapped with a “gift label” that does NOT display the price, please send us an e-mail or include the message that your item is a gift in the “optional message” box at checkout.
Do you sell gift certificates?
Sweet Meats does not currently sell gift certificates but we are planning to make them available in 2008. Please check back again at the beginning of March.
